Sorting aluminum cans

The heated and depainted cans are sent to a mechanical separation chamber, where they are placed in a specific constant temperature and non-oxidizing atmosphere, and the 5182 alloy can lids are separated into small pieces through mechanical action.

The temperature is at the initial melting temperature of the 5182 alloy. When the alloy is at this temperature, the grain boundary melting becomes weak and decomposes into small fragments under the action of mechanical force. In order to prevent the alloy from being too fragmented, a mechanical filter screen should be used in time to separate the decomposed fragments that have passed through. This process requires precise control.

The initially melted 5182 alloy will be melted into a mass with the unmelted solid 3004 tank alloy fragments. The separated 5182 alloy fragments will be sent to a special melting furnace, and the large pieces of 3004 tank alloy will continue to be sent to the tank alloy melting furnace.
