Heat treatment methods of aluminum alloy

In the production of aluminum alloy aluminum sheet and aluminum coil the following heat treatment methods are often used:

 
1. Annealing, which is mainly for the homogenization of aluminum ingot structure. The purpose of annealing is to make the composition, structure and performance of aluminum ingot uniform, so as to eliminate the internal stress in the aluminum ingot and improve and enhance the processing performance of aluminum ingot. According to the different annealing purposes and requirements, it is divided into billet annealing, intermediate annealing and finished product annealing.

 
2. Quenching, also known as solid solution treatment, aims to obtain a supersaturated solid solution that is unstable at room temperature, or a metastable transitional structure.

 
3. Aging, the spontaneous tendency of supersaturated solid solution to decompose and precipitate excess solute atoms, has two types: natural aging and artificial aging.

The purpose, requirements, process system and equipment of heat treatment such as annealing, quenching and aging for aluminum sheets and aluminum coils.
