Aluminum is a silvery white metal. Its atomic coefficient number is 13 and its relative atomic mass is 26.9815.


1. Although the strength of pure aluminum is not high, its strength can be more than doubled through cold working. Pure aluminum can also be turned into aluminum alloy by adding alloy elements and then strengthened through heat treatment.


2. Pure aluminum can be cast by any casting method. Pure aluminum has good plasticity and can be rolled into thin aluminum plates and aluminum foils, drawn into aluminum tubes and aluminum wires, and extruded into various aluminum profiles. It can be machined, such as turning, milling, boring, and planing.


3. The surface of pure aluminum has a dense and strong aluminum oxide protective film, so it is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and water corrosion.


4. When the temperature of pure aluminum is below 0 ℃ , its strength and plasticity will not decrease but increase as the temperature decreases.

7. Pure aluminum is non-magnetic and will not produce sparks when impacted. It is particularly suitable for use in instrument materials, shielding materials for electrical equipment, and production equipment for flammable and explosive materials.


8. Pure aluminum is sound-absorbing and is beneficial to interior decoration. It can be used to make ceilings, and can also be used as outdoor high-speed rail noise insulation panels and sound-blocking panels.


9. Aluminum has the same neutron absorption cross-section as other metals for high-energy neutrons.

For neutrons in the low energy range, the absorption cross section of aluminum is small, second only to magnesium, zirconium and other metals.

10. Pure aluminum has good processing performance and has high plasticity at room temperature and under heating conditions.
It can be rolled, deep drawn and stretched at room temperature, and can also be rolled, extruded and other hot processed at temperatures of 350 ℃ to 500 ℃ .


11. Aluminum can also be welded by gas welding, atomic hydrogen welding and contact welding.

13. When pure aluminum is subjected to cold pressure processing and deformation, the tensile strength, yield strength and hardness of pure aluminum will increase with the increase of deformation degree, but the elongation of pure aluminum will decrease accordingly.


14. Pure aluminum can be made into aluminum plates aluminum strips, aluminum coils, aluminum foils, aluminum tubes, aluminum bars, aluminum profiles, aluminum wires of different specifications, as well as electrical equipment such as cables, wires, capacitors, etc.
